Six anglers fished th Double Nickel event at the Tchefuncte River. It was a hot day that saw crystal clear water in the river. The water made it difficult to get on the fish as it took only 2.99 pounds to win. Tommy Rogers accomplished the feat and also won big bass with a fish weighing 1.72 pounds. In second place was Steve McCoy with 1.75 pounds. 

The Double Nickel fished the East pearl River on Tuesday. There were 22 boats that showed up to fish a Light, incoming tide that piqued at 9:30 a.m. The water looked good but the fish were small. At weight in everyone complaining about the heat and wiping sweat off their heads. Barry Lee ended up in first place with 3 fish weighing 6.10 pounds. Lee also won the big fish pot with a bass that weighed 3.66 pounds. Guy Stegall took second place with 5.85 pounds.  In thrid place was Joe Frierison who wighed in a 3-fish limit that weighed 5.85 pounds. Roger Mitchell won second place big bass with a 3.14-pound fish.                                                                             

​Nineteen anglers showed up to Crawfords Landing for the last Bass Assassins tournament.  They were greeted with a 10 foot falling river that was slightly muddy.  The forecast was for another very hot day with lots of sunshine.  As the boats were called out in the morning it was about 50/50 on how many boats headed north and how many headed south.  One angler who headed south was able to piece together a pattern to walk away with the first place prize.  Paul Paille brought in a 9.68 lbs. limit to easily claim first.
